Ghanshyam Kushwaha Born on 23 March in a small village of district Deoria in Uttar-Pradesh. He received elementary education from his own village and he did M.A. from JNU, New Delhi, M.Phil. from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and completed PhD from V.B.S. Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, U.P. He has worked with ICSSR, New Delhi and National Commission for Minority, New Delhi as Research Associate and TISS, Mumbai as Research Programme Officer before joining as Assistant Professor after getting selection in 2013 from UPPSC, Uttar- Pradesh. Author has written a book "Environment and Society" (Gyan Publishing House, New Delhi in 2022) and more than thirty chapters, articles and research papers in different books, magazines and journals. Currently, author is working as Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology at Pt. D. D. U. Govt. Girls Degree College, Sewapuri, Varanasi.
